Randahl FinkScottish-Tasmanian Math Professor and father of Queen Mary of Denmark, Mr. John Dalgleish Donaldson has died.
As a Dane, I was extremely pleased to see how kindly he was received by the Danish people, when his daughter married the now King of Denmark, Frederik 10.
In the 2000s, Mr. Donaldson lectured at the universities of both Aarhus and Copenhagen.
He died in his hometown Hobart, in the Australian island state of Tasmania, 84 years old.
