slash@renardboy @janeishly Funny thing, I've been re-watching James Burke's Connections from 1978. And as he goes through the history of various inventions, we see the same lessons: it's the billionaires. I am amazed to see descriptions of the Middle Ages which are dead-on for current events. Including certain rulers who were egotistical, and engaged in "cruel wars for light reasons" to bolster his self-image.

Nazo@ax11 @renardboy Step 2 isn't a question mark. Tax them into extinction. Millionaires too. No human and no organization except government organizations need that much money. (Yes governments do need that much. People forget what they're really for. They're supposed to serve society by using the resources of a full society to help others. Just... they forget that and start siphoning it off to the rich instead.)

Collective Truth@renardboy And the normal people a problem too - They often are worse than billionaires because they are more truthful or obvious liers, often disclose their intentions (or schemes) whereas the normal person hides, ducks, ignores, follows and even pays for it - and that in total for me is worse as cowardice / immoral.
Generations of parents who didn't want to face the truth / fix the reality and just kicked the cans down the road telling us to be moral and fair inside increasingly unfair world!

@EvelynOctavia @renardboy Even that is essentially "the billionaires." Both himself in that even though he is a fake billionaire and probably has like negative ten billion to his name in reality, banks keep just giving him money they'll never get back anyway (no sus there, don't look into it! Just trust!) and of course Project 2025, Russian oligarchs, etc etc are backing him.
He wouldn't be there without quite a lot of people putting quite a lot of money into propping him up.
