@Micolcosta Use butter, turbinado sugar or brown sugar, and instead of vanilla extract, a little rum (dark rum is best, but any rum will do). Use about as much rum as you would vanilla.

The flavors of turbinado sugar and dark rum complement each other, and both complement banana.
