I’ll be doing 30 of them, and then it’s done. Signed, numbered, with cert of authenticity.
I literally completed this image almost 3 years ago, and I’d made it part of a set of greeting cards. But I circled back, enhanced it with some ambiance to make it visually more appealing as a large-scale print, and now it’s finally up there.
Northern Saw-whet owls are small. I mean—really really small!! They don’t get much bigger than 6-8 inches, and weigh as much as 50 paper clips, or 50 dollar bills. They’re adorable.
I didn’t know what I was looking at when I found the reference image that inspired me. I just thought it was a young owl. But much to my surprise, it was likely an adult. So tiny!
