@rustoleumlove Oh how lovely! I wouldn't have thought Chicago to be a good setting for that, given the brutal winters. Glad I was wrong. 😀
the orchid show is indoors, i think the Chi Botanical Garden (actually in Glencoe, IL, lol) puts it on annually in March
but, in Chicago proper we do have the Garfield Park Conservatory, which has a few lovely, large greenhouses and is a wonderful place to go in the middle of January 😂

I used to go to the conservatory in Seattle, even in the middle of winter, and loved it so much. They even had one of those corpse flowers that attracted a lot of attention from the community when it bloomed.
