I smoked my last cigarette 13 years ago today. Took me three "quittings" (2 yrs & 4 yrs) for it to finally stick, but here we are. If you've quit, but restarted, it's never too late to give it another go.

Good for you; especially sticking with it.

Over 25 years for me; 6 january.
Eventually just unplanned with no replacements one New Years.
I do have something of a troublesome relationship with plain chocolate digestive biscuits though.

Until Covid, it was the breathing more easily* I noticed the most, after that having more money for other things.

Ultimately you'll only quit if you want to, and it's the habit, plus rituals around smoking that take years to kick I found.

@AnguaDelphine Congrats on the silver anniversary! I did of course, have the occasional yearning, but eventually one day the thought of having another just seemed foreign. There'll always be triggers, but they no longer carry any weight beyond passing reminders.
@DukeDuke

Ah. I can comfort eat, but I did that when I smoked.
It's the smell that puts me off these days.
