A bunch of Democrats are having a "Republicans get away with sex crimes so why can't we" reaction to Eric Swalwell and that kind of unprincipled bullshit is why their party is historically unpopular right now.

@gwynnion

sigh Every single time. We've seen the meme, we've pressed the shiny red button to get rid of abusers, we have told them any abuser is not on our side. And still they want to make excuses for harm.

@gwynnion ๐Ÿคฎ there's that contingent who can't shut up about how Al Franken shouldn't have quit (meanwhile, my standup comics podcast guys who knew him pre politics were like... oh, Franken was quitting before the worse stuff came out).
@thestopbutton Yeah, they can miss me with the Franken apologia, and especially this idea that Democrats are allowed to be corrupt and abusive so we can focus on defeating Trump. Because he's corrupt and abusive. ๐Ÿ˜’
@gwynnion should join the Republican party if they want to get away with that shit.

@gwynnion

Perhaps Trumpโ€™s detention camps could be used as reform schools once heโ€™s been flushed down the drain...

@gwynnion two sides of the same coin, just one side is no longer lying that they are for the people.

@gwynnion

I'm confused by this.

Swalwell swore he has never slept with a staffer in his 19 years in Congress but I don't hear him denying the sexual relationship with this staffer.

Somehow him saying "it was consensual" makes it OK he lied about sex with a staffer and cheating on his wife.

Even if it seems consensual having sex with a young subordinate staffer 15+ years younger than you is abuse.

@gwynnion the Democratic party is just the rainbow painted face the oligarchy sometimes wears when hunting the poor sport isn't playing well in the media. There is no opposition party just two flavors of class war that both want you dead
