Peter Brett@aarblaster Even non-FPTP electoral systems have tie breaking mechanisms that fall back to selection by coin toss or similar. See this article about tie breaking in the single transferable vote system, for example.

I think there are much, much stronger reasons to criticise FPTP, and that we should focus on the strongest arguments available.
