Viktor Orban states EU actions blocked Trump-led peace efforts in Ukraine, arguing the war could have ended earlier. JD Vance adds that Brussels bureaucrats are actively working to restrain Hungary because its leadership “stands up for Hungarians,” framing both issues as politically driven pressure from EU institutions. #Hungary
@noelreports Dear Hungary, have you considered leaving the EU? Please, do it ASAP, it will be better for everyone.
@chebra @noelreports Who's "everyone"? And why should milions of Hungarians who never voted for him and whom our own governments abandoned in exchange for goodies for the German car industry as he wrecked their democracy with their blessing and under the CDU's protection lose their EU citizenship?
@Veza85UE @noelreports democracy is something you have to fight for.

@chebra @noelreports Europeans like Ferenc Kőszeg, Áron Varsányi and millions like them have done more to fight for democracy than anyone bloviating on the internet about their place in the EU from the comfort of their living room. They want to keep their EU citizenship and they have my full support.

@Veza85UE well I hope we will be able to see the effects of their work in a couple of days... I'm just saying if the voters of a country decide to elect Orban, then Orban does something bad for them, and they just let it happen, there isn't much anyone else from other countries can do about it.
@chebra I don't think anyone in the EU is in any position to talk about "just let it happen". Our governments just let it happen so Audi and BMW could have access to cheap labour, Orbán subsidies and other perks and we let it happen because who was going to tell the CDU not to? It's rich of us to let it happen for 15 years until Hungarians outside of Budapest have barely any access to free media, nobody has any access to independent courts nor fair elections, and then go: meh, your problem.
@Veza85UE again, not much anyone can do about it from outside of Hungary. If Hungarians aren't willing to risk and fight, why and how should anyone else intervene? Get rid of him. He's yours.

@chebra Nobody's asking you to march on Budapest or do election monitoring for the opposition. But a little self-awarness wouldn't hurt. There are 26 people from outside of Hungary who absolutely could DO something about it, they just choose not to. If you're an EU citizen, at least 1 out of those 26 people works for you.

@Veza85UE Ok, how about this, I'll deal with those 26, you deal with the millions casting votes for Orban. Fair?
@chebra Let me know how the 26 responded to your emails.
@Veza85UE no problem if you do the same with the millions
@chebra You'll get your answer splashed all over the news. Only fair that you post my answer in screencaps.
@Veza85UE only fair that I block you and stop wasting my time with a troll 🤷
