## Canton CAN is Hitting the Sidewalk — Join Us! Canton CAN, a branch of North Georgia Community Action Network (NGA CAN), hits the sidewalk every Saturday to make our voices heard. This is a space built by and for residents of **Cherokee, Pickens, Bartow, Forsyth, and Cobb counties.** **This event is designed for people who live, work, or have deep roots in North Georgia.** If you're more than an hour's drive from Canton, this probably isn't your event, and that's okay! We encourage you to find or build a local group in your own community. Our work is most effective when it's rooted in the neighborhoods and county commissions we actually vote in. --- Trump and his MAGA allies are attacking democracy, silencing voters, and rigging the system against working families, communities of color, and young people. Every Saturday, same time, same place, we show up until this power grab is defeated. --- **Location** Line up on the sidewalk on the Ingles side of Riverstone Parkway. Park in the shopping center lot and please patronize the businesses there if you can. --- **What to Know** - Peaceful, legal, nonviolent, non-permitted protest on public sidewalks and right of way only - Wear patriotic clothes and bring your American flags - Bring signs that defend the vote and call out attacks on democracy - This is a political emergency and we treat it like one --- See you Saturday.
