Aliens learn that their new human allies have a strange quirk when it comes to interacting with their ships, whether they're sailing on an ocean or through the void of space. Humans anthropomorphize ships, and invariably use feminine pronouns for them. Surely it would benefit their scary (but highly-valued) human friends if the ships were actually women (...)
