Sand and gravel company sues over proposed neighboring residential complex in Charlestown; raises specter of squashed pedestrians, bicyclists and toddlers

Boston Sand and Gravel this weeks sued a developer that has won the right to turn a pair of parking lots on New Rutherford Avenue in Charlestown into a residential development, saying the plans, centered on a road now used by 18-wheelers and large cement mixers will lead to death and mayhem because giant trucks just don't mix well with pedestrians, bicyclists and little kids.
