Failure

Last night I was lying awake staring into the dark as if it might answer back if I waited long enough. It never does of course. What it does instead is bring up a quiet, repetitive kind of disappointment, Looking back now I’m older, I’ve been thinking about life's disappointments, the things I really wanted to happen that just didn't, and how that can make you feel a failure.
