@schuler I've been talking about these issues privately since mid last year... At the time, I felt that some people thought I'd lost the plot, as Microsft software is so much part of people's lives, though I knew similar initiatives had begun in regional governments in other countries.

I subsequently learned that China started down a similar path c 2020, though I've not found good statistics on this.
