Planning a canoe trip in Temagami this summer. Remembered seeing announcements about Ontario Northland train service resuming.

By bus, we could leave Toronto 9:15AM and arrive Temagami 5:30PM.

By train: leave Toronto 6:30PM, arrive Temagami 1:10AM.

Oh yeah. That’s why I never took the train when it used to run. Return trip boards at 4:15AM.

Nuts.

We should be improving passenger service everywhere, not creating a $150 billion boondoggle to get people from Toronto to Montreal faster so they can have dinner.

@PapyrusBrigade Oh shit, try to get someone to pick you up at the train station a 1:10 am. At least there seems to be an affordable motel about 500 meters away.
