#ish version of my paper #dicebaby habit tracker

Trying to make all my make busy reports and graphs as ASCii and plaintext as possible.

Tweaking out #Nano’s syntax highlighting also helps.

My new family doc said I should lose a bit of weight and be on a mediterranean or DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension :/) diet.

So that was a nice excuse to make a meals logging #bash script and report.

(I confess Claude sorta assisted me with the bug making)

Or you could use an existing app like MyNetDiary. I like that they have nutritional info about a wide range of foods, and you can scan the barcode if you're eating anything from a package. I'm down 20 pounds since the fall, and I only started logging food to see what the nutrition is. Still, behaviour that is observed will frequently change. I also credit my #AppleWatch for getting me off my butt every hour, and gradually, I've rebuilt an exercise habit.

@EllenInEdmonton I’ve tried many apps in the past…usually it ended in #enshitification with app ask a monthly subscription or ads or me frustrated with interface… i have a simple menu script that references my own simple .csv I control and add to. I normally eat the same stuff over and over.

Haha, if you can stand to see a black screen full of that font, who am I to try to stop you!?! I am consistent with my breakfast, but I mix things up a lot with my other food.
