Strange situation last night in Kigali.

My car had ~100km range (3 bars) yesterday. I only drove 10–20km total.

This morning: <8km remaining + low fuel warning.

That kind of drop overnight doesn’t make sense.

Possible fuel theft? Sensor issue? Not sure. I refueled right away, so no photo evidence.

Anyone experienced something similar?

@saja0486 I had a car recalled for a faulty fuel gauge once. It had worked just fine until the “repair” screwed it up, requiring a second intervention. But the kind of drop you describe sounds as though either someone siphoned your fuel or you accidentally punctured your tank, which you would smell.
@NYSloth Since I don’t smell gas leaking and I don’t see a gas leak around the car, siphoned gas seems the most likely culprit in this case. The gated community security team is checking the security cam footage from yesterday afternoon until this morning, when I discovered the change in gas. A faulty gauge is a possibility, but the car is less than a year old, and nothing has been worked on during that time that could have affected the gauge in some way.
