Bayh-Dole legislation and Reagan in the US, Thatcher in the UK, enclosed the knowledge commons before you were born. Psychologists knew about the reproducibility crisis in the 70s. Personal reflections canna clean up these academic toxic spills. We have to challenge the enclosure of public knowledge and insist that publicly funded research remain in the public domain.
