Thoughts:

As I read abt Christian exorcism, one of the more interesting stuffs is that a lot of the rituals and even the language and even tools they use are like, straight up ripped from withcraft.

Bindings. Banishings. Amulets. Potions.

And extra fun? Some priests say the quiet part out loud. The enemy is magic. Magic must be expelled...

...but they bind it and twist it for their own purposes.

So okie. Hn. That in some ways simplifies things.

More as I research.

It goes further back too.

The 'other'(jewish) story of Yeheshua (Jesus) of Nazareth, was that he illicitly spied on the head priest's Jewish magic.

When Yeheshua copied the magics he saw, amounted to heresy. Once he had a following, that was a schism. He was not crucified - the proper punishment in Jewish law for a schism is to be thrown from a cliff and stoned till dead.

But yeah, Jewish magics do include divination, bibliomancy (vowels arent there and must be divined), and other types of workings. Thats the Qaballah.

As for me, I follow Bridgid and Loki. But I know a lot of others' stories and beliefs.

Okay that actually makes sense. One of the fragments of the Gospel of Mary has Mary describing Jesus teaching her about the multiple parts of the soul, something that is taught in Kabbalah, but Kabbalah was not taught to Jewish men until they were over 40, so how'd 30-ish Jesus know about it? So that makes sense of that

Yep. I'm ex-catholic, from long ago. Was more just lay catholic until I started digging in to the whole faith, and its rotten to the core and based on lies.

I looked at all the abrahamic faiths, and the one that was most truthful and consistent was Judaism. It alone seemed to be based on their own stories, and not what amounts of a fanfic.

And naturally, christian theology was based on looting another's religion. The worst part is, after looting the magics, then calls them 'Satanic' and 'evil', or decries that they dont even exist.

@crankylinuxuser

Hn. Probably most consistent but there seems to be a lot a lot borrowed from older faiths? By hard for me to say for sure bc I camg read the texts.
