@tamami I was there in early October, too, but 1993, I borrowed a friend's car and drove from Oregon back through Utah to visit my mother and grandmother, then through SE Utah and over to Durango, and through New Mexico. That highway through Los Alamos is crazy twisty, and the Valle.... I wanted to stop and wander into it 😊

@sunumbral That's basically my route too, but I went through Cortez instead of Durango, I think. The Valle was tear-jerkingly beautiful, but we couldn't stay long because they closed the gate really early for the day. I want to go back.

@tamami Me too, my whole time in the state felt so familiar I had to call my mother and ask if we'd been there when I was young, but we hadn't. The sky and the architecture and the multiculturalism were amazing 😊
