Generally the coastal regions are historically more interesting. The deeper you go inland, the longer the distances and the less interesting the buildings.

I might consider also taking the bus between some of the longer distances.

@iju Thanks a lot for the website! Tampere is on my list to visit as well.

As for the coastal route, Helsinki - Turku - Pori looks doable for me. Also I'm planning to acquire a cheap bike once I reach there, so this is going to be an adventure \o/

@hisgolu i wasn't in too many places, it was nice on bike everywhere, especially remember downhill at Repovesi park.
