@beitmenotyou We’ve been scaling up an app to bring mDL and EU wallets onchain when it was an extra thing you COULD have but now that Govs seems to be forcing/requiring it, we’re having to rethink things. Seems very big brother now.

@BenDoubleU That’s the problem, isn’t it? A tool built for optional convenience starts to look very different once states and platforms treat it as the default gatekeeper. On-chain Identity might sound empowering in one context, but if the surrounding system becomes coercive, the whole thing changes. Choice matters. Consent matters. Opt-in is one thing. Quietly mandatory is another.
