I can NOT win, with my #Mother. Not even ONCE.

I ALMOST did, earlier this evening. I came down to help prepare supper. I took the chicken out of the oven, drained the potatoes (which I prepared earlier this after noon) and made gravy.

I even got a "Thank You" from mom as I got the table ready. BUT once dinner started and she saw the chicken;

"YOU PUT THE CHICKEN IN THE POT BACKWARDS! AGAIN!"

For the record, I did NOT "put the chicken in backwards," by which Mom means putting it in the pot so the round, or convex side of the chicken is on the bottom.

I put the flat side of the chicken on the bottom, AND when I took it out I put it the on the cutting board, flat side down.

But I put the chicken in the pot flat side up ONCE, so NOW Mom has decided I do it EVERY TIME, and nothing will change her mind.

From now on, SHE can put the chicken in the oven.
