You can have the best plans. Plans that have worked a hundred times. Plans that everyone said were solid. And then life throws a curveball you never saw coming. COVID in 2020. My mom in 2022. The only thing you can do is stop. Sit down. And let yourself feel it.

What did I learn? Not to stop planning. Not to stop preparing. But to hold my plans with open hands. To do my best, then let go. To prepare for the worst, but accept that the worst might still find me. And that's okay. Because letting go is not giving up. It's making room for whatever comes next.
