One of my favorite descriptions heard:
"We talked about naming some colors. A brownish hue and a greenish hue. And, I'll tell you, like right now, Aristarchus, the plateau.... it's hard for me to see from this window.... but that had greenish hues to me, and was very unique."

@Earl There are lots of green minerals around. Because of the more mountainous terrain on the far side, some deposits are probably exposed.
