Il Presidente russo Vladimir Putin ha dichiarato una tregua per la Pasqua ortodossa. Lo rende noto il servizio stampa del Cremlino. “Per decisione del Comandante in capo supremo delle Forze armate della Federazione Russa, in vista dell’imminente festività ortodossa della Pasqua, viene dichiarato un cessate il fuoco dalle ore 16 dell’11 aprile fino alla fine della giornata del 12 aprile 2026″, si legge nel comunicato. Il Cremlino ha inoltre sottolineato che la Russia si aspetta che l’Ucraina segua l’esempio di Mosca con un cessate il fuoco a Pasqua. “Diamo per scontato che la parte ucraina seguirà l’esempio della Federazione Russa”, si legge nella dichiarazione. Il presidente russo aveva già fatto lo stesso nel 2025.
Alle truppe russe è stato ordinato di cessare le ostilità in tutte le direzioni durante la tregua di Pasqua dell’11 e 12 aprile, ma di rimanere pronte a contrastare qualsiasi aggressione nemica. “Il Ministro della Difesa russo A.R. Belousov e il Capo di Stato Maggiore delle Forze Armate russe, Comandante del Gruppo di Forze Congiunte, Generale dell’Esercito V.V. Gerasimov, hanno ricevuto istruzioni di cessare le operazioni militari in tutte le direzioni per questo periodo. Le truppe devono tenersi pronte a contrastare qualsiasi possibile provocazione da parte del nemico, così come qualsiasi azione aggressiva”, si legge nella dichiarazione del Cremlino.

Putin announces a ceasefire with Ukraine for the Orthodox Easter: “We expect Kyiv to do the same.”

President Vladimir Putin of Russia has declared a truce for the Orthodox Easter. The Kremlin’s press service announced this. “By the decision of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, in anticipation of the upcoming Orthodox Easter holiday, a ceasefire will be declared from 4 p.m. on April 11th until the end of the day on April 12th, 2026,” the statement reads. The Kremlin also emphasized that Russia expects Ukraine to follow Moscow’s example with a ceasefire for Easter. “We assume that the Ukrainian side will follow the example of the Russian Federation,” the statement reads. The Russian president had already done so in 2025.

Russian troops were ordered to cease hostilities during the Easter truce of April 11th and 12th, but to remain ready to counter any enemy aggression. “Russian Minister of Defense A.R. Belousov and the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Commander of the Joint Group of Forces, Army General V.V. Gerasimov, received instructions to cease military operations in all directions for this period. Troops must remain ready to counter any possible provocation by the enemy, as well as any aggressive action,” the Kremlin statement reads.
