universities: implement stringent access control measures

@eloy Hmm. At #Cambridge it used to be the case that anyone could walk into a lecture (provided there was a spare seat, which there usually was). I wonder if that's still the case?
@TimWardCam @eloy It was until at least ’96 - there was one particular lecture at the end of Materials II (iirc) that it had become tradition to disrupt, and that one was specifically only for those of us who were on the course - I guess that was the exception that proved the rule.

@ersatzmaus @TimWardCam The university I just walked by (Leiden University Campus The Hague) required NFC tags to enter the revolving door

You could tailgate people through the door itself but eh there were security guards standing behind

@eloy @ersatzmaus @TimWardCam I walked past Radboud University Nijmegen once when it was closed. It had automatic sliding doors that were probably supposed to be locked but I could pry them open a bit and they'd automatically open the rest of the way so I could just walk in.
@eloy @ersatzmaus Yeah, there's lots more access control than there used to be.
