Standardizing how we define agent skills — does that shift the power dynamics?

Skrun is an open-source tool that lets you deploy agent skills as APIs via a POST /run endpoint. Uses SKILL.md files, compatible with Claude Code, Copilot, and Codex.

Feels like a step toward composable AI — define once, deploy many places. But I'm curious: does this help individual devs compete, or does it mainly help platforms absorb more skills?

I think agent skills are apps for AI platforms. So we'll see a repeat of the competition we saw between iOS and Android, Facebook and MySpace, Mac and Window. Huge corporations offering the best and most convenient "skills" for your daily AI-powered desk job.

The competition hasn't started yet, but it will soon. "AI Skills" is where all the revenue in AI businesses will be earned. That's my prediction of the near future.
