Could TERs in Bourgogne get *even worse*?

Probably!

If Renfe manages to win the contract rather than SNCF... 🤨

RENFE pivots to French regional passenger markets amid Avril authorisation delays

FRANCE: Spanish national operator RENFE is reportedly seeking regional passenger operating contracts after allowing an agreement for high speed paths between Paris and Lyon to lapse.

Why would renfe be worse? Shouldn’t the conditions be the same between operators like in Germany
@macsquirelera.bsky.social Because Renfe, like SNCF, does not see the point of anything that is not compulsory reservation. And the Région is short of cash. So a cheap, low service Renfe bid would have a solid chance of success.
Oh is the timetable not set by the state offering the contract?
@macsquirelera.bsky.social Not fully, no. One of the means to win these bids is to offer more trains than currently running. But you could conceivably win by offering as many, but cheaper.
