what the fuck. why are they filming all the skz members getting endoscopies
this seems. uh. invasive
is this considered an ordinary thing to do in Korea?

... asking each other questions while they come out of sedation wtf
okay okay they're all adults who would've consented to having this filmed, and I guess they'd cut out anything too scandalous in the edit
From the preview images, I expected these episodes to be mostly pretend, like the hair salon episodes for Ceremony. but it seems like they're getting genuine medical checkups with genuine healthcare professionals.
i'd like to imagine that they weren't pressured to film this, and they're fine with it
(we don't see much of the endoscopies and the coming-out-of-sedation in this week's episode. it's at the end in the teaser for next week's episode.)
@coreo hmm actually they said Seungmin wasn't getting an endoscopy in this episode because he had one recently.
speculating that he might have suggested this skzcode idea himself, if he became aware at that time of the need for raising public awareness etc
@skrr quite possibly and also I just was reminded that the stomach cancer rates in SK and other Asian countries are like 12 times what they are in predominantly white and Hispanic populations so this might have simply been upper endoscopy for that purpose. Either way, yes, I could see Seungmin suggesting this and them all going for it because they're awesome like that.
It absolutely has the "children's show segment about how going to the doctor isn't so scary" vibe only with 1000% more chaos.

@skrr It's not *common* content these days but as noted, Ateez had their screenings (well, the time around the screenings) filmed for Wanteez and they weren't the first to do such a thing.
Health content tends to cycle a bit, depending where SK is in their broader wellness awareness cycle.
