Forest pond tea-brake time, the water looked like tea but I managed to resist the impluse to taste it😊

P.S if your country doesn’t have the freedom to roam https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom_to_roam there’s something inherently wrong.

@NickEast_IndieWriter It's tannins that make the water that colour, the same stuff gives wine some of its flavour. Pretty sure they're different tannins, though.

This picture reminds me of Myst or the 1997 adventure game Obsidian.

@StarkRG I'm now going to tell people it was a pond full of wine because you told me so 😜😁
@NickEast_IndieWriter Well, now I feel the need to hedge my words. On closer inspection, there's some algae and literal scum (pollen would be my guess) that are also contributing to the color. But, yeah, that tan-brown color are tannins leaching out of plant matter. Some of that plant matter is likely to be fruit, and that fruit likely fermented. So, to paraphrase Obi-Wan, calling it a wine pond is true, from a certain point of view. That point of view being someone who drinks from random ponds.

@StarkRG I did always peg Obi-Wan Kenobi as a guy who wasn't to picky about the ponds he drank from 😜😂

@NickEast_IndieWriter I don't think Tatooine had ponds. The best you could hope for would probably be a persistent puddle and, now that I think of it, that might be why blue bantha milk became so popular. The banthas drink the water, the humans drink the milk, the sarlacc eats the humans, nobody eats the sarlacc.

Yoda, on the other hand, not only did that guy have ready access for nearly two decades, he seems absolutely the type to get bored enough to see if drinking swamp water got you high.

@StarkRG @NickEast_IndieWriter

Anakin is in fact the one who was portrayed as being none too picky about what he ate, by contrast with Obi-Wan, who was disgusted by this scene in The 2-D Clone Wars (not canon).

@StarkRG I would think living in a swamp would give you a crash course correlation between ponds and diarrhea, on the other hand living in a desert you may get thirsty enough to give it a go 🤔 😁
