Astronomers have come up with a new theory about the black hole that sits at the centre of the Milky Way. Instead of it being a black hole they are suggesting it is a dense clump of dark matter. This they argue is why there is both rapid motions stars at the centre and large scale rotation of our Galaxy. Known as Sagittarius A* it is 4 million times larger than our sun. Due to its denseness it can mimic a black hole. https://www.skyatnightmagazine.com/news/black-hole-centre-of-milky-way-dark-matter
