Eric Lucan, front runner in the AD12 race was previously reg'd GOP and is a guest preacher and member at a bigoted church, part of the Assemblies of God.

In 2022, Lucan said he simply disagrees with their teachings.

So... he doesn't mind putting wind in the sails of a church that's anti-abortion, homophobic, and transphobic?

The standard we walk past is the standard we accept.

What does this tell us? We must do better.

Marin supervisorial candidate attacks rival’s religion

Kevin Morrison has issued statements and mailers about Eric Lucan’s church affiliation as Election Day nears for the District 5 race.

Marin Independent Journal

I'm a survivor of religious trauma. I am no anti-theist — I have loving relationships with several local churches and many religious people — but I don't fuck with bigoted institutions.

There's no belonging to them without being damaged.

More people need to know this, and look at the other candidates.

There are at least two in the race that would serve us well and neither of them are named Eric Lucan.

@robin You and me both. I don't hate religion and am open to it being positive in the lives of some people. But holy crap can it be damaging and often is. I still deal with the way it warped my thinking as a child.
