@glyph I try to point this out but it's "well it's just a prototype" or "it's only visualizations" and "I never would've even gotten started without AI" (to which my reply is "stop underestimating yourself")
@aburka there is nothing more existentially dangerous to an enterprise than a prototype which has made it to production

@glyph oh my god this is such an excellent article, thanks a ton for sharing. I think some Chinese would object that the suffering of their people is being equated with western info workers suffering, but the analogy is just too perfect.

@glyph Great post - defs going to be a quicker cycle than the arrival of the internet which there was such a great hope for before the big manipulations- Must be lessons learned from things like Twitter where governments and institutions use tools for free, and didn’t supervise what was done with their data & peoples info. Can really there be respect for national borders, laws or sovereignty inside opaquely managed global tools and now I am such a sparrow!
