@startrekgifs Awl Good Things... (*)

Yyyyyes it isn't @darth_hideout but you were close.

[c]

@startrekgifs

Interesting. It's still a [c] with the typo. Doesn't help that much. I think that means the right title is actually a pretty "close" match to All Good Things... (*).

The "distance" will include the ... (*) as well as the rest.

@startrekgifs

Thing is, the [c] is deterministic. That already tells you the right answer if you can compute the LD between the guess & every other episode.

I looked through "A Matter of Honor" & some other promising titles ("Thine Own Self"; don't recall all of them). Can't find that robe.

@startrekgifs

FWIW I think exhaustive guessing is probably faster than scanning through TrekCore. lol

@darth_hideout @startrekgifs @ansonkennedy @deusfigendi

Ok but its apparently "bloodlines". How is that close??

@darth_hideout @startrekgifs @ansonkennedy @deusfigendi

Did it compare to

"TNG: Bloodlines"

Or something?

@5ciFiGirl @startrekgifs @ansonkennedy @deusfigendi

The LD from "All Good Things... (*)" to "Bloodlines" is 15. That may be the next-closest title. (TNG: Bloodlines is 17.)

Also, it occurs to me, the title producing the [c] may be German.

@darth_hideout @5ciFiGirl @startrekgifs @deusfigendi having that canonical list of episode title sure would be handy about now.

@deusfigendi @darth_hideout @5ciFiGirl @startrekgifs thanks very much for providing this!

@ansonkennedy @deusfigendi @5ciFiGirl @startrekgifs

Yes, thanks.

I think that says it expires in 30 days. See if I can remember to save a copy.

@ansonkennedy @deusfigendi @5ciFiGirl @startrekgifs

Btw on my iPhone the diacritics (Umlauts) didn't show properly. I added a whole HTML5 structure to explicitly specify charset="UTF-8." That made a difference. Not hard to do.

@darth_hideout

oh okay sorry.

I thought if I throw it into that paste-tool and mark it as markdown (not HTML) it will do. And for me and my computer it did.

Sorry. If I create local files I also add a head section and a meta-charset element.

I get from the service a
content-type
text/html; charset=UTF-8

So it's defined in the HTTP-header. Strange your phone does not recognize this. Or it get's another variant without that header

@ansonkennedy @5ciFiGirl @startrekgifs

@deusfigendi @ansonkennedy @5ciFiGirl @startrekgifs

It's a question where it lives on the phone & what options I have to open it from there. It's never a proper browser. All good now anyway. Just mentioned it in case anyone had similar issues.

@darth_hideout

Ah you saved it local.. yea that will probably break.
