I washed my hands right before I met the person at the desk behind me and they went in for a handshake and I was like "sorry I've got wet hands" but put my hand out anyway and they grabbed it and looked so disappointed

@ash meet someone new at the same time and before shaking hands say "oh sorry I need to wet my hands, it's kind of my thing" then wink at the first person. Its the only safe choice
