The Royal Tyrrell Museum is probably the best museum I've ever been to. Completely unapologetic, fully scientific presentations on evolution, Earth's history, extinction, and it even ends with a powerful statement on climate change. With the added bonus of many children (and some adults...perhaps me...) completely losing their minds over cool dinosaurs. WOW.

Definitely go to this museum if you're ever anywhere near Alberta!!

We also saw tens of thousands of snow geese flying through the skies and resting by lakes in gigantic fields of grain and canola stubble. And snow. Back to snow.

My trusty Saskatchewan travel mug (which I got for being in a Sask tourism video shoot), held many flat whites while I was visiting New Zealand. But now it's returning to the real Flat White: Saskatchewan. The #ProfSamLectureTour will be fully completed by the end of the day today.

#BabyGoatCountdown is at 7 days!

I AM HOME!!

I am covered with dog hair and cat hair and goat hair and snow and everything is good. I am so grateful to everyone who made it possible for me to go on this trip (especially the farm sitter! He did an amazing job!)

And I'm so happy to be home!

@sundogplanets Did your animals swarm you when you got home? Any of them mad at you for leaving and shun you in proper cat fashion?
@mayintoronto The cats didn't shun me! Or shun my kids! I even got the full-on jump-up-and-rub-my-face-all-over-you greeting from one of them! What an honour. Goats, dogs, and llama were also all very happy to get scritches and snuggles. Such a nice welcome!

@mayintoronto @sundogplanets

My daughter’s cat used to great is so reliably, I though she could trigger an alarm: if she stayed hidden when the door opens, call the cops.

@BenHM3 My friend's cat would welcome you when you get home, then shun you for a few days for leaving. Traitor!

@sundogplanets

@sundogplanets Welcome home, Sam! It all worked dout! 😁
@sundogplanets went without an off-farm vacation for years due to not having a good farm sitter. So glad it all worked out well for you & the critters!
@sundogplanets I'd guess there were a whole lot of happy critters to welcome you home!

@GoatsLive

A whole lot of happy Fedizens, too!

@sundogplanets

@sundogplanets it’s been wonderful getting to share your travels. So glad you were able to go and are now safely home! On to baby goats!

@sundogplanets

WOOHOO!!!

It has been so much fun to watch your tour, but I'm happy you're home - it must feel good!

@sundogplanets
Everyone looks happy and healthy! Welcome home!
@sundogplanets Just in good time for #BabyGoatCountdown too! In a weeks time your fantastic New Zealand trip will feel like something you imagined, rather than actually did.
@sundogplanets This is nice news! I am glad you could use the opportunity for this trip and everything went well and kudos to your farm sitter!
Good to know you arrived home safely and in time for BabyGoats!
@sundogplanets Yay! Happy you, happy critters! Glad to hear the farm sitter worked out so well.
@sundogplanets Welcome home! Do you get some rest now or is it straight back into everything?
@rootsandcalluses Straight back into everything. Baby goats in 1 week!
@sundogplanets I had a feeling. But you get to be home for baby goat season. That's quite something :)
@sundogplanets
Hone is where the goat is...
@sundogplanets @Pollinators We will keep at a distance and won’t add any more hair πŸ€ͺ Welcome home! πŸ
