Mark Boszko

This government department I am calling has the jauntiest hold music… but only 27 bars of it. Over and over and OVER. It doesn't even loop properly! It cuts off just as it's going into the bridge. Every TIME.

I am slowly going insane. 29 minutes on hold and counting…

Update: eventually I was on hold for two hours total. One time when I got put back on hold, there was different music! It was blissful! For about 20 seconds. And then I got transferred back into the system with the jaunty music. I am unfortunately fully insane now.

@swizzlevixen A government department you say? This is something our representatives should be on top of. Surely we could get some bipartisan agreement on this point.

@swizzlevixen Doesn't the iPhone have a feature now where it listens to the hold music for you? I've never used it, but I remember it being mentioned in the keynote whatever year that was.

@bwebster I've tried that a few times, but it seems like it fails more often than not. I tried it right now and got an error dialog "SmartHolding Failed"
