Ah.

Looking to install Linux Mint Cinnamon on a laptop ... but all the ISOs seem to be 64 bit.

The machine is 32 bit.

So ... suggestions?

Added in edit: I have a somewhat less old machine that is 64bit, so I'll practise on that. But still looking for a sustainable way forward for the old machine.

I don't have any brilliant answers.

Debian 12 supports 32-bit silicon. If the Debian project decides to include 32-bit Intel in the set of architectures supported in its LTS release then you'll get security updates until summer 2028, but that decision has apparently not yet been made:

Even then, the software you're running will be out-of-date from the day you install it, and you won't get whatever Minty goodness you were hoping for on top of Debian.

Just out of interest, how old is the machine?

@CppGuy Oh, pass. Many years old.
