Aaaaaaah! The eggs are alive! Aaaaaah! The lamp was not bright enough or the room too bright. Thirteen out of fourteen eggs are alive. Aaaaah!

@rootsandcalluses Bibili* invasion!
* possible a very regional German word for freshly hatched chickens
The bylaw in Vancouver (Canada) allows 3 chickens. No roosters.
There was one rooster. Running free. The rumours were:
• Someone got a male chick and secretly "set it free" to meet the coyotes.
• It fell off the back of a truck going for slaughter.
Either way, lucky rooster. The dog pound got it. It went to a farm. No, not the euphemism farm. It really, really went to a real actual farm.
😅
Have you "enjoyed" roosters before?
@jet My cat went to an actual farm when we moved to the US. People keep thinking it died. I mean, by now it probably has. But still.
We will now probably have a few roosters, all but one will have to be eaten. My garden neighbor in the old gardens had a rooster, and it was quite the lovely monster. It was huuuuuge!
Luckily, no bylaws here to keep us from keeping chickens nor roosters :)
