also now i have two options:

  • have them spend 6 months "considering" my residency application
  • pay 3000 GBP and get the decision in a day

    @ignaloidas @whitequark My experience (across two people/multiple visas) is that it takes about a month even if the stated processing time is 3-4 months. I don't know if it varies by nationality.

    IIRC one of them has an issue date about a week after the application, and then I guess it sat in a box for a few more weeks before they sent it back? (Not sure if they can preemptively print the visa while the wait for the rest of the bureaucracy to process.)

    @snowfox @ignaloidas are we talking about visas or ILR applications? because these are very different processes

    @whitequark @ignaloidas They didn't seem that different for me, but it wouldn't surprise me if that also differed by visa category.
