@jon Hi Jon. When travelling in France, with SNCF tix booked at e.g. @12train (et coucou aussi @jeanbaptistemarie), what is the smartest way you found to EASILY follow potential live perturbations? Those outside-SNCF reservations are still not recognized in SNCFconnect iirc, aren’t they?
Was gonna go and try with tracking trains themselves in SNCFconnect (and SBB-CFF for the first Lausanne-Paris leg), but meh 😤

@jon @shalf Those checks happen periodically. I ride that route regularly and the checks are sporadic. Inbound to Lausanne the inspection accompanied by the question "Marchandise…?" and there is sometimes there is a dog to give the carriage a good sniff.

@sellathechemist @shalf hence the question re rationale. I take it semi regularly too, and it’s often a border check dressed up as a customs control.

@jon @sellathechemist Indeed. None of them was Customs. All Police with dog. Was too tired to ask and stay calm, so didn’t.
