@streetartutopia some great ideas. I am in the process of creating a small rock garden myself
@MrInappropriate @streetartutopia no, more like a collection of the largest ones in the photos resting upon a bed of pebbles. i figure ill set one or two in place and contemplate it for a week or two, then place another, or a few until all have been placed. each one has its own personality. itll be a long slowprocess i think, just the way i wish it to be.
@streetartutopia Ugh. These are cropping up everywhere now. Leave nature alone!
@EllenB Yup it messes things up for the small creatures that use these stones to live under or lay their eggs on or under. @streetartutopia
@Alison Exactly! Plus, it's nature. They're perfect where they are. @streetartutopia
@EllenB @Alison @streetartutopia nice thing about beaches - they erase the canvas after a few tides.
@JohnnieMac But doesn't replace the eggs or creatures homes that were under the rocks. @EllenB @streetartutopia
@streetartutopia Man... that's beautiful! If only we could all take a break and breathe in some fresh air devoid of politics?
@streetartutopia
Fucking with the minds of future geologists
@streetartutopia There was life under each of those biggest stones...
Please stop moving stones ! Nature will do it by herself... no need of humans to kill things living under stones.

Method from the article:

> Jon Foreman: I started by drawing a square in the sand, then placed the largest stones in either corner, then slowly worked my way down. It's one of those works that gets slower the further you get into the piece, covering less space with each placement. I’ve worked on a similar piece in the past but wanted to scale it up, it's also nice to recreate works in one uniform colour to see the differences.

@streetartutopia Fuck the 7 principles of leave no trace I guess. If you want to do art with rocks, don't do it in the wilderness.
@streetartutopia why is this still a thing?
@streetartutopia Ridley Scott ass sculpture 🤌🤌🤌
@streetartutopia Very pretty, but please don't move rocks like this. It eco unfriendly.
