I'm really tired of #VSCode. What IDEs / Editors do other people use? #python
@NiklasMM I liked PyCharm at work a lot, but we switched to VSCode. 😢
@NiklasMM @LilithElina Not sure why you are tired of it. Did you try VSCodium? It strips away the telemetry.

Kate
@frank @NiklasMM can highly recommend kate too.

I can also recommend Geany for a extra small and tiny IDE

Geany - The Flyweight IDE

A powerful, stable and lightweight programmer's text editor

@NiklasMM I'm an amateur, but I like pycharm. however, if I could use RStudio, then i would.
@NiklasMM I don’t like IDEs so I just use one of the best editors on the Mac: BBEdit
@NiklasMM neovim + kitty terminal. A steep learning curve but a truly enjoyable experience as it can be configured in almost any way you want with blazing fast motion across files using telescope.
#neovim #python
@NiklasMM Emacs. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 🤪
@NiklasMM I‘m using Pycharm and like it.
@NiklasMM I don't program in python, but for TS I use WebStorm (payed) and zed.
@NiklasMM (1) I have an all-access subscription to Jetbrains IDEs, I think Pycharm is great -- I like being the customer instead of the product for a change (2) when I did .NET/Unity work for a game development hackathon (we won!) my teammates told me to use the real Visual Studio instead of VS code and that was great advice
