It doesn't get any better than EGA.

@grumpygamer

Played on an MT-32, too. Nice. 👍

@grumpygamer makes me so happy to read this from you 💾🤍👾 and best sound which one was?
@nakumorita Not going to get into the sound debate. 🙂
@grumpygamer @nakumorita I didn't have a sound card back then at first, and let me tell you, hearing that fake polyphony on PC Speaker, accomplished with ultrashort notes comprising chords, that just blew my mind. No other game I knew back then had done that, and I loved every beep and boop of it.
@grumpygamer @thomasfuchs I always play the EGA versions of MI and Quest for Glory when I revisit them.

@danielsaidi @grumpygamer @thomasfuchs I do that with Loom. Unfortunately I don't have the EGA version of MI1 so the VGA floppy version is as close as I get.

At least that one has the "stump joke". The first time I played MI2 I had only played the VGA CD version so the "stump joke" joke went right over my head.

The Special Edition is technically impressive, and I can see the love that must have gone into it. But to me it feels a bit awkward. Haven't played it since it was released, though.
