this is a good example of how a large stock in a #system always represents a delay. the tanks are filled with 120$ oil for now. it takes time for that stock to empty. and they are unlikely to joyfully refine that oil into a falling market. meaning prices at the pump don't react to falling oil prices immediately. this state, where a system is still reacting on old information is called hysteresis.
