At this point it doesn’t even matter if Trump attempts to walk back his threats to commit genocide in Iran.

It definitely doesn’t matter whether he, hypothetically, would choose nuclear weapons or conventional weaponry to do so.

The fact that he ever considered it— and over oil!— is enough to demand action.

We cannot “wait and see”.
We cannot risk that he might change his mind.
And we CANNOT keep living like this til 2028.

This lunatic must be removed.
Now.

What the FUCK are we doing?

@Haste Most Americans are doing little more than praying for someone to save them at this point. :/
@tk I can understand the feeling of helplessness. The adults aren’t coming.
@Haste it is maddening to see anyone talk about this as anything but as so evil, dangerous, and irrational as to require his immediate removal from office. Reporting from so many news sources talking about it like it’s an ordinary and sensible thing for a person who could launch nuclear weapons at any time…it is gaslighting on an enormous scale.

@JoscelynTransient I was talking with my partner about this earlier. Where we eventually landed is that, if THIS isn’t enough to convince people off the fence, then they aren’t leaving the fence.

I think a lot of people are looking around right now and thinking, am I alone? Am I crazy?

And I want to believe we’re all just doing it in different places and can’t see each other. Because the alternative is terrifying.

@Haste @SharpCheddarGoblin some 10% of the general population are fine with it. Some of us are demanding better, attending protests, city halls, filling board positions, supporting voices for progressive change. But the other 86% just kinda want to have brunch and enjoy a football game and a big juicy burger, it's not really their issue, so I guess that's what's going on.
@Haste I hate that today is gonna end up being just another day in the crazy adventures of donald trump. because it should be more than that, it should be a giant fucking wake-up call but I don't think it will be
@sykora I hope you’re wrong, but doubt you are.
