My hero today is congressman Ted Lieu, who serves the stone cold truth to the US military: Commit war crimes for Trump and you will be prosecuted.
@randahl my heroes of the day are the Pakistan officials who worked relentlesly on a ceasfire deal. I now hope a permanent deal is struck.
@randahl It's even a crime to threaten such grotesque acts, but Trump gets to do whatever he wants because Congress sucks.
@randahl as if... Most likely they'd be "prosecuted" the same way the waterboarding ppl were...

@randahl WW2 Nazis were prosecuted by international law into the 90s. Even low level Nazis.

into *their* 90s

@randahl yup I'm sure they'll receive consequences just like Cheney and Rumsfeld.

Representantes demócratas están empezando a hablar finalmente: "el que cometa un crimen de guerra será procesado por la próxima administración"

@randahl

@randahl it is unfortunate that it is such a low bar to clear to be a good politician right now, like sending few tweets asking others to do the right thing, but then compared to his party leaders who must be super busy drafting strongly worded letters to be delivered by homing pigeons... Like that old saying actions speak louder than words, it's time for these politicians to act, including against their own party leadership sleep at the wheel, not just say the right things.
@randahl That is assuming we do not die in the upcoming thermonuclear war.
