Iranian sources reporting that U.S. and/or Israeli fighter jets are continuing strikes throughout Iran as we approach Trump's 8pm deadline, when "a whole civilization will die." I'm going to post images, video & updates (including sourcing/confidence where possible) over the evening in this thread.
Dissident blogger VahidOnline (who has been collecting reports from across Iran) says there have been low-flying jets doing sorties across central Iran, hitting multiple targets — including military bases. Iran, meanwhile, has launched a new salvo of rockets against the UAE, Bahrain, and Qatar.
Iranian state media have been posting images purportedly of mass pro-regime demonstrations — including around the energy infrastructure Trump says he wants to hit. (Photos look legit but hard to confirm.)
A lot of the Iranian dissidents have welcomed the U.S. intervention, hoping it will finally topple the regime. Now they're facing the prospect of crimes against humanity from both Iran, Israel, *and* the United States. "I am sure Mr. Trump will not make himself an enemy of the Iranian people."
Pakistan put forward a proposal for a two-week ceasefire. Reuters says both the Iranian regime and the White House is considering the proposal, but no confirmation either way whether they'll accept it.
Pro-regime Iranian channels saying US military/diplomatic facilities in Baghdad have been targeted by multiple Iranian missiles.
CNN, citing Pakistani sources, says "good news" coming. An Iranian Telegram channel notes: "Only Trump could get involved in negotiations to extend a deadline which was imposed by himself." www.cnn.com/2026/04/07/w...

Trump agrees to two-week ceasefire with Iran

The president said the agreement was made on the condition that Iran agree to reopen the critical Strait of Hormuz. Follow for live news.

Sorry, CNN was citing "a regional source," not Pakistan sources.
Meanwhile, strikes are still being traded in the region. Iranian channels say they've hit an American base in Saudi Arabia, Israel hit a major petrochemical plant some hours ago, Iran says it downed an MQ-9 Reaper drone.
Iran's ambassador to the UN has reportedly, per Iranian channels, said Tehran "firmly rejects" Pakistan's ceasefire proposal.
Iranian UN ambassador Amir Iravani: "Any solution to stop the conflict must include the non-return of aggression and the establishment of a just and sustainable peace based on reliable and verifiable guarantees to prevent any violation." (per Lebanese channel Al Mayadeen)
Another Lebanese channel, citing sources in Beirut, says there is a high possibility of a ceasefire *that includes Lebanon.* Which would be very good. www.mtv.com.lb/en/news/Loca...

Live Updates: Trump announces 2-week ceasefire in Iran war, contingent on Iran reopening Strait of Hormuz

President Trump announced that the U.S. and Iran had agreed to a two-week ceasefire in the war that was contingent on the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.

In case it's not already obvious, we're going to see a lot of conflicting reports over the next hour or two. Best not to jump to any conclusion based on any one piece of info.
It's always a mistake to read too much into positioning of military aircraft, but a number of U.S. Globemaster strategic transport planes appear to still be en route to the Middle East. (While three others are heading back to central Europe after leaving Israel/Greece.)
There it is: Trump calls off the attack, declares ceasefire.
It's far from clear that Iran has actually agreed to much of anything. In the last 20 minutes, some Iranian channels started signalling that Tehran would reject the ceasefire proposal. (Which could have just been posturing and speculation.) I have zero idea what this "10-point proposal" is.
It's also not clear whether this deal involves Israel and Lebanon. I haven't actually seen any reporting to suggest that Netanyahu was involved in the ceasefire talks.
Iranian channels report that Iran just launched a missile salvo towards Israel. Israel expecting to sound the air raid sirens shortly. Also reports of strikes in Iran. (Possible the ceasefire would start at midnight or some other point.)
This is the (Google translated) chyron on Iranian state TV right now: "Accepting Iran's conditions to end the war, Trump announced a two-week ceasefire."
Yup, that's the line. Looks like Tehran is going to accept the ceasefire by claiming victory and saying Trump backed down.
CNN says Israel agreed to the ceasefire. Not clear if Lebanon is included. (One Israeli analyst/influencer speculates: "The IDF will now give its full attention to Lebanon’s Hezbollah.")
Iran's 10-point plan — which Trump says is "a workable basis on which to negotiate," which Iranian media says Trump agreed to it — includes: -An end to Israeli operations in Lebanon -Iranian control over the Strait of Hormuz, including the ~$2m/ship fee. www.nytimes.com/2026/04/06/w...

Iran’s 10-Point Proposal Demands an End to Attacks and Sanctions

As President Trump’s deadline for new attacks loomed, Iran conveyed its conditions through Pakistani intermediaries.

The New York Times
Iranian regime confirming ceasefire. They say negotiations will happen in Pakistan over the next two weeks, but could be extended. State media also saying that Trump accepting the 10-point plan — which I don't think is true, but it illustrates just how aggressive this 10-point plan is.
Here's a sanction of the (auto-translated) regime statement
Iranian state TV is straight up playing Giorgio Mordor-style disco tunes. The chryon reads: "By accepting Iran's terms, the US committed to non-aggression, continued Iranian control over the Strait of Hormuz, enrichment, and lifting of all sanctions."
Worth reiterating: I don't think Trump actually agreed to any of these things. But boy, it's going to make for some messy negotiations over the next two weeks.
Trump posted this statement to Truth Social, which includes "POTUS...acceptance of the general framework of Iran's 10-point proposal a basis for negotiations." Then in a follow-up post, he rages that the other (official) statement is "a FRAUD" and "linked to a Fake News site (from Nigeria)."

@justinling.ca Iran's control of strait won't go easy with the rest ofthe planet. But then again, trump said in his press conference uyesterday that he has no problem and he would do the same to make money from it (as any good Ferengi would say).

Keeping control over strait gives Iran some remaining cards to play when negotiating proper deal where it will relinquish control.
