I’m happy because I don’t run Mastodon and don’t have to deal with their shit, except what spills over into the larger Fediverse.
Given Mastodon used a different network first and only gained support for ActivityPub later, it is us on the larger Fediverse who have to ask you Mastodon users why you’re here…
… and, it’s not so much about the posts. I have friends on instances using Mastodon, and even on the gGmbH-ran instances, because they don’t know better, and this way we can interact… which, again, is the whole fucking point of the Fediverse. (We don’t interact with Nazis like Fakebook’s “Instagramm Threads” or Bluesky, though.)
